EduRoam Setup Guide for Microsoft Windows Vista

Configuration eduroam on Windows Vista is similar to Windows XP.
Instalation certificate of autority STU Bratislava CA is different.

  • Click [Install certificate ...]

  • Set [Place all certificates in the following store]
  • Click [Browse ...]

  • Click [Trusted Root Certification Authorities]
  • Click [OK]
  • Open up your Network and Sharing Center by clicking Start -> Control panel -> Network and Sharing Center
  • Click [Setup a connection or network]
  • Set [Manually connect to a wireless network]
  • Click [Next]

  • Add [eduroam] as the Network name
  • Security type: [WPA-Enterprise]
  • Encryption type: [TKIP]
  • Check settings on picture
  • Click [Next]

  • Click [Change connection settings]

  • Click [Security] tab
  • Check Security type: [WPA-Enterprise]
  • Check Encryption type: [TKIP]
  • Choose a network authentication method: [Protected EAP (PEAP)]
  • Click [Settings]

  • Ensure [Validate server certificate] is ticked
  • Ensure Trusted Root Certification Authorities [STU Bratislava CA] is ticked
  • Set Select Authentication Method [Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)]
  • Click [OK]
